First GlobE Network meeting

From 15 to 17 November 2021, anti-corruption experts from all over the world came together in Vienna for the first meeting of the GlobE Network.

The GlobE Network, a globally oriented operational network of anti-corruption law enforcement agencies, was launched in June during the UNGASS 2021 (UN General Assembly special session against corruption). Connecting law enforcement agencies from around the world that are at the forefront of the fight against corruption, it enables a proactive and informal exchange of information across borders. In principle, the network aims to support all member countries in combating corruption.

The first annual meeting of this new informal cross-border cooperation mechanism of the United Nations brought together the members of the network. They pledged to work together with all members of the GlobE Network as well as with existing international cooperation networks and to enhance the exchange of information between all these players.

The aim is to create an agile and inclusive community allowing all members to engage in informal cooperation and to access resources helping them to fight corruption.
