Special Investigation Service of the Republic of Lithuania at the BAK

On 16 October 2019, the Special Investigation Service of the Republic of Lithuania (STT) made a working visit to the Federal Bureau of Anti-Corruption (BAK).

At the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between BAK and STT to further strengthen cooperation between the two authorities. During the working visit, a lively discussion developed on the broad spectrum of investigative work, deployment of information technologies, recruitment and in-house training at the BAK. This was followed by a presentation on the BAK’s prevention work, educational tasks and international activities. The parties were able to discuss interesting approaches and deepen their existing cooperation during this meeting.
On 17 October 2019, the Lithuanian delegation also paid a visit to the Federal Public Prosecutor's Office for Combating Economic Crime and Corruption (WKStA) and the Court of Audit as part of their mission to Austria.
