2021 ENIP Meeting

On 11 November 2021, the Dutch Whistleblower Authority hosted the ENIP meeting, for the first time as an online event.

The aims of ENIP (European Network of Integrity Practitioners), in which several corruption prevention and integrity authorities from EU Member States participate, are to exchange knowledge, experience and best practices, as well as to jointly develop new tools and programmes on ethics and integrity management in the public sector.

The international expertise in integrity management and prevention gained from participating in the network is incorporated both into the Austrian Network of Integrity Officers (Integritätsbeauftragtennetzwerk, IBN) set up by the BAK and into the practical prevention work of the BAK’s Unit 2.1.

During this year's online event, members presented recent projects and shared their experience on current challenges.

The participants reported that the EU Whistleblower Directive is being implemented in very different ways in the EU Member States and that December 2021 (date of transposition of the Directive according to the EU Regulation) is being eagerly awaited.

The next ENIP meeting is scheduled for the autumn of 2022.
