Delegation from the United Arab Emirates at the BAK

On 4 July 2023, a study visit by representatives of the Supreme Audit Institution of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the Abu Dhabi Audit Authority took place at the Federal Bureau of Anti-Corruption (Bundesamt zur Korruptionsprävention und Korruptionsbekämpfung – BAK).

On 4 July 2023, representatives of the BAK presented the organisation and tasks of the Federal Bureau during a study visit by officials of the Supreme Audit Institution of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the Abu Dhabi Audit Authority and provided information on the BAK’s prevention and education work as well as on the Austrian National Anti-Corruption Strategy (NACS). The NACS and its implementation were of particular interest to the participants from the UAE.

The UAE delegation also provided insights into their organisation and an exchange of experience regarding proven approaches in the field of preventing and combating corruption ensued. Finally, the delegation showed interest in a future exchange of experience.

On the same day, the UAE delegation also visited the Austrian Court of Audit.
