On 8 September 2026, the board members of European Partners against Corruption (EPAC) and European contact-point network against corruption (EACN) met in Lisbon. The Federal Bureau of Anti-Corruption (BAK) participated in the meeting.
The purpose of the gathering, which was attended by BAK Head of Department and EPAC/EACN Vice-President Ernst Schmid, was to prepare for the 25th EPAC/EACN Annual Professional Conference and General Assembly, which will take place in Budva, Montenegro from 5 to 7 October 2026.
Another topic discussed included the EPAC/EACN Work Programme 2026–2027, which focuses on strengthening anti-corruption and police oversight in Europe through professional cooperation, the exchange of practical knowledge, the protection of the EU’s financial interests, and structured institutional evaluation. Planning for 2027 was already on the agenda.
