BAK delegation at OECD WP-PIAC working meeting in Paris
On 13 and 14 November 2025, the meeting of the OECD Working Party of Senior Public Integrity Officials (WP-PIAC) took place in Paris. More than 120 delegates from OECD member states and partner countries attended the conference, including a delegation from the Federal Bureau of Anti-Corruption (BAK).
OECD Anti-Corruption and Integrity Outlook 2026
Preparations for the 2026 Outlook include an evaluation of the progress made by member states. The focus is on national anti-corruption strategies, transparency of public information and new data on integrity in the judiciary, as well as dealing with conflicts of interest and regulating lobbying.
A key topic was the implementation of Principle 5 of the OECD Recommendation on Public Integrity. Principle 5 calls on states to promote a culture of integrity beyond the public sector and to actively cooperate with business, civil society and citizens.
The OECD emphasised the increasing global threats posed by organised crime and its growing links with corrupt networks.
Contributions by BAK
BAK was actively involved in the programme and led a break-out session on ‘National Anti-Corruption Strategies’, which discussed key success factors for national anti-corruption strategies and ways to strengthen integrity at the local level.
In addition, BAK made a statement in the plenary session, emphasising the importance of coordinated national measures and, among other things, the involvement of various stakeholders.
